Cross-Border B2B Invoicing & VAT Calculator
Draft a simple EU business invoice estimate, calculate domestic standard-rate VAT, or show a reverse-charge line after you confirm the buyer’s VAT number and eligibility.
How to use it
- Enter invoice, seller, buyer and service or goods details. The information stays in this browser tab.
- Choose domestic VAT or the potential intra-EU B2B reverse-charge estimate.
- For reverse charge, confirm that you checked the buyer’s VAT ID in VIES and that you have verified the transaction qualifies.
- Review the invoice preview and use Print / Save PDF to create a copy.
Limitations
- This is an invoice estimate, not a compliant accounting or e-invoicing system. It does not assign invoice numbers or determine legally required invoice fields.
- Reverse charge is only shown after you confirm a valid VIES check and that the specific supply qualifies. This tool does not validate VAT IDs or assess eligibility.
- EU cross-border VAT treatment has exceptions, including special rules for some goods, services, territories and customer types. Confirm the rules with the relevant tax authority or an adviser.
- Domestic VAT uses the seller country’s standard rate. Reduced rates and exemptions depend on the supply and are not selected automatically.
- Enter one currency for the invoice. This tool does not convert currencies or calculate exchange rates.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool check VAT IDs in VIES?
No. Use the official VIES service to check the customer’s VAT ID yourself, then confirm that check in the form. The tool does not send your invoice details or VAT IDs anywhere.
When can I use the reverse-charge estimate?
Only when you have independently confirmed the customer is a taxable business, the VAT ID is valid, and the particular supply qualifies under the applicable rules. Cross-border goods and services can have exceptions.
Does this create a legally compliant invoice?
No. It creates a printable estimate with common invoice details. Local requirements may require additional details, numbering, language, reporting or approved e-invoicing formats.
Which VAT rate is used for domestic invoices?
The seller country’s current standard-rate preset is used. Reduced, zero and exempt supplies need case-specific treatment and are not inferred.
