CSV Cleaner

Tidy CSV data before importing it into a spreadsheet or application. Trim surrounding spaces, remove blank rows and optionally remove duplicate rows.

How to use it

1. Paste CSV text or choose a CSV file up to 10 MB.
2. Select the cleanup options you want; duplicate removal is off by default.
3. Choose Clean CSV to preview the result and row count.
4. Copy the cleaned data or download it as a CSV file.

Limitations

• The cleaner supports common comma, semicolon and tab separated files and converts output to comma-separated CSV.
• Duplicate removal compares complete rows, including the header; repeated records may be meaningful, so the option is off by default.
• Files larger than 10 MB and malformed CSV with unmatched quotation marks are not supported.

Is my CSV uploaded?

No. The file or pasted data is processed in your browser.

Will it delete duplicate records automatically?

No. Duplicate row removal is optional and off by default. It compares every cell, including header rows.

Does it preserve commas inside quoted fields?

Yes. Quoted commas and line breaks are parsed and safely quoted in the cleaned output.
