URL Encoder / Decoder

Turn text into a URL-safe form (percent-encoding) or turn encoded text back into readable text. Choose "Component" for query values or "Full URL" to keep the URL structure.

How to use it

1. Paste your text or URL.
2. Choose Encode or Decode, and Component or Full URL mode.
3. Copy the result.

Limitations

• Malformed sequences such as "%E0%A4%A" cannot be decoded and show an error.
• Full URL mode keeps characters like : / ? & = # unchanged, so it will not make a value safe inside a query string. Use Component mode for that.

Frequently asked questions

Component or Full URL?

Use Component for a single value (like a search term). Use Full URL when you want to keep the address structure.

Does "+" mean a space?

In HTML form data it does. Tick "Treat + as space" when decoding that kind of data.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Encoding and decoding run in your browser.
